Norcross, Georgia (December 14, 1995) - IQ Software (NASDAQ:IQSW), a leading supplier of client/server data access and analysis solutions, today announced that David A. Cormack has been promoted to the newly created position of Senior Vice President of Sales. He will have overall responsibility for sales operations at IQ Software.
Cormack joined IQ Software in October 1995 as a result of IQ Software's acquisition of Soft Systems Limited of UK, a leading supplier of OLAP (On-Line Analytical Processing) tools, where he was the managing director. He will be based at the IQ Software headquarters in Norcross, Georgia.

Cormack brings over 15 years of experience in the software industry to this position and has held several management positions in sales management, marketing and finance. Decision support systems and end-user information access have been his areas of special interest and focus.
Most recently Cormack has applied his expertise to founding, financing, developing and marketing OLAP solutions. As managing director and co-founder of Soft Systems Limited of UK, Cormack was CEO who played a key role in making Soft Systems a highly successful company with the best OLAP front-end tool in the data analysis market.
Cormack has also been director of UK Operations at Planning Sciences where he was responsible for sales, marketing, consulting and support operations and contributed to a significant company turnaround.
Prior to Planning Sciences, Cormack was sales and marketing director at Pilot Executive Software where he was responsible for building a vertical market sales team for financial markets. David was also the divisional sales manager at Information Builders where he was instrumental in growing the software revenue over 100 percent in span of three years.
Cormack holds a degree in Accounting and is a member of UK Institute of Directors.
